Dear Member,
It is that time of year again – time to renew your membership with the Rockland County Women’s Bar Association. It is my honor and pleasure to personally invite you to do so. Please take a minute to return the enclosed invoice or renew online on our website at www.rcwba.org.
Thanks to your membership we have been able to maintain our two delegates to WBASNY. This means that we have a greater voice in the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York (WBASNY). Your membership renewal is essential for us to maintain our voice and this year I would like to see our membership increase so that we can obtain a 3rd delegate!
Upon renewal of your membership with the Rockland County Women’s Bar Association, your membership with the Women’s Bar Association of the State of New York is automatically renewed. WBASNY now has over 4,300 members and is the second largest Bar Association in the State of New York. WBASNY recently added a 19th Chapter which is truly remarkable! WBASNY continues to have significant influence regarding state legislation affecting women, children and families. WBASNY continues to have special consultative status at the United Nations. WBASNY’s organizational model is being used by attorneys in Croatia to form a women’s bar association in that country. WBASNY has been invited to the White House to take part in a commission on women and children. WBASNY is involved in forming a non-partisan group to assist women interested in legislative and judicial positions. WBASNY is dedicated to achieving income parity for women.
Your membership gives you continued access to our numerous CLEs, various social events, networking opportunities and participation in charities. Your membership will continue to help the Rockland County Women’s Bar Association to give back to the community by financially supporting the Rockland County Children’s Center located at the Rockland County Family Court, the Legal Aid Society of Rockland County and the Center for Safety and Change, United Hospice of Rockland County, Meals on Wheels, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and numerous other charities and organizations.
As I begin my term as President of RCWBA I want to continue the inroads RCWBA has made in promoting our stance on issues affecting women, children and families. Help RCWBA achieve its goal. Keep our voice strong.
I thank you, in advance, for renewing your membership with the Rockland County Women’s Bar Association. We are a warm, welcoming organization. We are grateful for your membership as well as any manner you want to be involved in RCWBA. I am a hands-on President. Feel free to approach me or anyone on the RCWBA Board with any ideas, projects or suggestions you have. Renew your membership with RCWBA and continue to be part of this vibrant, dynamic organization.
